For Kids Ages 8-13 

Join us for Art in a Yurt!
We make explore nature, make art and play games.

Dates:
Saturday, September 21, 2013 9am-noon

Saturday,  October 19, 2013 9am-noon

Orenda Springs, 4939 Lawless Road
Marcellus, NY 13108 

Cost:  $20.00/child
    

Details:
We will take a 15 minute walk up a woodsy hill to the Yurt (a yurt is an outdoor classroom). Activities will be held outside if the weather is nice and in the yurt if it's cold or raining.  Please have your child wear good shoes for walking and clothes you don't mind getting paint on.

We do a mix of art activities and games to keep kids interested and engaged.

Parents are welcome to drop off or stay and play as well (it's really fun for any age!)

We will be learning about different art mediums such as acrylic paints, watercolors and oil pastels over the various Saturdays.  Feel free to sign up for one or all!  Class size is limited to 15.

About Kelly:   
Kelly has a Master's Degree in Recreation from SUNY Cortland and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.  Kelly has extensive experience leading groups of adults and children in games, exercises and creative activities in both the community and clinical settings.  
Kelly provides training on topics such as "Including all Kids" at various conferences and workshops in Central NY and sells her hand crafted jewelry and artwork.
She's the proud mother of 12-year-old "Artistgurl" who also assists at events.
